The Newborn Experience

Those first days are a blur of love and exhaustion. They are soft, hazy and filled with love. Tiny fingers wrapped around yours. Sleepy cuddles. The quiet magic of getting to know the little soul you’ve been waiting for.

Newborn sessions are about slowing down and capturing these fleeting moments before they slip away.

Newborn sessions are held in my warm, calm Junction Village studio within the first 2–3 weeks of birth. Every session is baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling.

Expect soft textures, neutral tones and timeless styling.

Safety is my highest priority. With 16 years of newborn experience, your baby is always handled with the utmost care.

My newborn sessions are relaxed, gentle and completely baby-led.

Your little one sets the pace while we allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling.

My studio in Junction Village is warm, calm and thoughtfully prepared so you can simply arrive, relax and soak in those precious early moments with your baby.

Your newborn session includes

• A relaxed studio session (around 1–2 hours)
• Access to wraps, blankets and studio styling
• Gentle posing and natural connection moments
• Parent and sibling photos
• A private online gallery to select your favourite images

FAQs

It’s best to book during your second trimester to ensure availability. Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 7–21 days when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled.
Because babies arrive on their own schedule, sessions are booked based on your due date, and once your little one arrives we confirm the exact session date.
That’s completely normal. I only book a limited number of newborns per month to allow flexibility around due dates.
Newborn sessions typically last 1-2 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and settling. Everything is baby-led and never rushed.
Absolutely. Parent and sibling portraits are always encouraged and often become the most treasured images.
Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection.
I’ll send you a styling guide before your session to help you choose outfits that feel comfortable and timeless and have a wonderful collection of garments available in my client wardrobe should you prefer.
All newborn sessions are held in my peaceful home studio in Junction Village, designed to be warm, calm and comfortable for new parents.
If you select an Essential or Signature collection, you’ll choose your favourite images from your private online gallery. If you choose a Heirloom collection, your entire gallery is fully edited — no choosing required.
